 Art sets you free. Art opens new doors, builds up confidence and liberates the human spirit. Art is about bonding…beyond discrimination and beyond limits.

After the success of the Art For All Festival 2013, Pallavanjali is once again organizing the Art for All Festival 2016– a three day camp for young persons with varied ability. Any one above the age of 15 may attend the camp.

This festival is also open to professionals from the field of varied ability, therapists, educators, theatre persons, creative art practitioners and just about anyone interested.

Our Festival throws open the gates of the ARTS: theatre, music, painting, crafts, dance, creative movement, etc to all young persons irrespective of their varied ability. All participants will be taken through a three day experiential learning in creative arts. The activities will conclude in a gala show/exhibition of the creative output of the festival.

Objectives:

To unravel the mystery of art through the eyes of persons with varied ability
To help young people to interact beyond boundaries
To help young people improve their self image and confidence

To learn social and independent life skills
To learn to interact with persons of the opposite gender
To teach and build teamwork
To be able to provide leadership to a team
To be able to play and above all to have fun!

Dates: 15th, 16th and 17th of April 2016 (Friday, Saturday and Sunday) 9.00 AM to 5 PM daily.

Venue:  Pallavanjali , S- Block , Uppal’s South End , Sohna Road , Gurgaon

The Festival will be directed by Ms Diana Tholoor.

 Diana Tholoor

Diana comes with a history of 37 years as a Corporate Trainer and one of the Pioneers of Theatre for people with Physical and Mental Challenges. Her experience in training spans Human Behaviour and Interactions, Communication, Personality, Stress Relief, Counselling and a host of other subjects with the biggest brands in India across industries.

Diana is the Founder of the Chrysallis Performance Arts Centre for the challenged and has worked with thousands of children with and without challenges integrating them on stage through inspirational scripts.

She is also a theatre person working through movement, dance, and drama for children with physical, mental and social challenges. Over 150 stage productions, social films, radio shows, art programmes. Pioneered its Flagship programme Christmas with Chrysallis – a Christmas gifting and party programme for as many as 1,00,000 children in 2010.

Networking with over a hundred special schools and other institutions in Bangalore and 20 other cities in the country. Promoting awareness programmes for Suicide Prevention, Retinitis Pigmentosa, HIV / AIDS, Adoption and Foster Care, Abuse of the Male Child, Integration of People/Children with and without challenges through short documentaries.

 Somesh Purey

Mr. Somesh Purey [IPGDMT], is a qualified Clinical Music Therapist, who graduated from the TMTT PGD Training Program in 2008. Somesh, a professional Tabla and Percussion player, has performed classical, light classical and spiritual music programs in India and the USA for more than 20 years. Somesh now works for the Music Therapy Trust as a Clinical Music Therapist.

 Zill Botadkar

 Zill Botadkar has served for more than a decade in the field of special needs. She is an expert in behaviour interventions and designing plans for children with special needs in individual and group therapy. Currently, she is the Director at Lighthouse, a Creative Arts Center in Mumbai.

Zill Botadkar has a psychology background and is a certified ABT (Arts based therapy) Practitioner and a certified AMT (Autism Movement Therapy) trainer. She is a Counsellor and an EQ Educator, based in Mumbai. She has further done a Certificate Course in Music Therapy: From Music Therapy Trust, Delhi, Level 1 – Art and Drama Therapy: from Krita, Chennai and a Certificate course in Drama in Autism (Velvi, Madurai)

 Schedule:

The day at the camp would begin with the participants exploring the different art forms and then dividing themselves into groups based on their interests. They will the work with their trainers in the chosen field.

Each group will work towards a final performance and on the last day there would be a showcasing of talents and a performance by the participants. Parents, public and media would be invited for the public performance.

Registration Fees

 For a pair of Young Adult + Caregiver ( 2 persons) – Rs 7,500

For an individual participant with varied ability         – Rs 5,000

For professionals (1 person)                                    – Rs 6,000

Fee included all workshop charges, all handouts, all materials, lunch and two tea breaks all for 3 days.

There is boarding-lodging on payment basis available at the institute for out of city participants. Please contact the office for the same.
